OUR PASTOR SEARCH PROCESS

A Prayerful journey together as we seek god’s discernment

Blue indicates our current step of the search process.

As we prayerfully seek God’s direction in calling our next Senior Pastor, we value the input of our church family. If you know of a man whom God may be leading to serve as our Senior Pastor, we invite you to submit his name for prayerful consideration by the Pastor Search Team. Candidate recommendations may be submitted electronically using the link below or by completing a Candidate Recommendation Form available in the church office.

Thank you for praying for our pastor Search Team and for participating in this important season in the life of our church.

How Can I Help?

One of the best ways to help out during this process is to pray! We know that the Lord hears the prayers of His people. Psalm 145:18 says, “The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth (ESV).” Below is a list of prayer points for our Pastor Search Team.

Pray for the Search Team to Trust the Holy Spirit's Leadership
Proverbs 3:5 - Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding.
Pray for the Search Team to Remain Humble Before God and That They Will Not Be Anxious, But Trust God's Leadership
Psalm 9:10 - And those who know Your name will put their trust in You, for You, 0 LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.
Pray for Them to Make Wise Use of Their Time During Their Meetings
Ephesians 5:15-16 - Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, 16making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Pray That in Times of Discouragement the Search Team Will Seek the Lord Diligently and Have Confidence That He Is at Work Bringing the Church and Future Pastor Together
Jeremiah 29:11 - "'For I know the plans that I have for you,· declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope."'
Pray for Them to Discern if Potential Pastoral Candidates Possess the Biblical Qualities of a Servant of the Lord
1 Timothy 3:2 - An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach.
Pray for the Search Team to Not Grow Weary in Their Work
Galatians 6:9 - Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.

Pray for Them to Continually Submit to God's Will
James 4:7-8 - Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
Pray for the Search Team to Have Discernment as They Listen to the Sermons of Potential Pastoral Candidates
Hebrews 5:14 - But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
Pray for Each Member to Have an Overwhelming Sense of God's Presence and Guidance as They Work Through the Steps of the Pastor Search Process
Psalm 16:11 - You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Pray for God to Fill the Search Team with Knowledge of His Will Through All Spiritual Wisdom and Understanding and to Equip Them with Strength
Colossians 1:9 - For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
