Pastor Search Team Meeting Update

Devotion by Jerry Horn – Colossians 1:9–14; 2:10

This week, Jerry Horn led our devotion from Colossians 1:9–14, reminding us how important it is to rely on the Lord for wisdom and understanding as we continue our search for our next pastor. Jerry reminded us that the spiritual wisdom and understanding Paul talks about in verse 9 doesn’t come from our own knowledge or abilities. It comes from the Lord. Verse 12 also reminds us that it is God who qualifies us for the work He has called us to do. What a great reminder for our committee that we don’t have to rely on our own abilities, but instead allow God to work through us. Jerry also shared Colossians 2:10, which reminds us that we are complete in Him. God will provide what we need as we seek His direction.

Our Pastor Search Team continues to review the candidates we have received. We are prayerfully and carefully considering each one as we seek to discern God’s will for our church. We know this is an important responsibility, and we want to be faithful and patient throughout the process.

We ask that you continue to pray for our team—for wisdom, discernment, patience, and boldness to follow God’s leading. We are thankful for your prayers and encouragement as we continue this journey together.
