Philosophy of Worship

Our first Core Value is “Authentic Worship.” We are called and committed to leading the church each Sunday in biblical, authentic worship. The CFBC Philosophy of Worship was created to be a guiding document on the scriptural aspects of worship and how we believe we are to implement them.

CFBC Choir

The Collierville First Baptist Choir is a vibrant, Christ-centered community of singers united by a shared passion for leading God’s people in authentic worship. Open to adults and teenagers, the choir serves as the core part of the worship ministry—proclaiming biblical truth through powerful music, fostering deep relationships, and creating moments where the church family can engage in authentic worship. Through weekly rehearsals, special events, and seasonal worship experiences, the choir strives for excellence not for performance sake, but to magnify Jesus with joyful hearts and unwavering devotion. The choir embodies the mission of CFBC: to lift high the name of Jesus in authentic worship.

CFBC Orchestra

The Collierville First Baptist Church Orchestra is a dedicated group of instrumentalists who use their gifts to lead the congregation in meaningful, authentic worship. Open to instrumentalists of all ages, the orchestra brings richness, depth, and beauty to every worship service—supporting the choir, elevating congregational singing, and creating dynamic musical moments that point hearts to Jesus. Through weekly rehearsals, major seasonal events, and special collaborations within the worship ministry, the orchestra strives for excellence that honors God and serves the church with humility and passion. United in mission and musicianship, the orchestra faithfully uses their talents to help the church experience God’s glory through music.

Media Ministry

The CFBC Media Team serves every week and strives to enhance the worship services through audio, video, lighting, and other technical aspects. This devoted team is committed to making sure that the music and message are communicated well on campus, and online.

NextGen

NextGen Worship Ministry is all about raising up the next generation of worshipers with joy, excellence, and purpose. Beginning with our Hearts of Praise Preschool Choir, little ones learn the foundations of worship through fun, movement, and simple truths about God’s love. Our CREW 82 Children’s Choir for grades 1–5 builds on that foundation as kids discover the excitement of singing, worship leadership, and biblical truth. Moving forward, our Student Worship Choir for grades 6–12 helps students grow as leaders—both spiritually and musically—through dynamic rehearsals, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve in major worship events. Together, these ministries equip kids and students to lift high the name of Jesus with passion, confidence, and authentic hearts of worship.

Throughout the year, CREW 82 will have the opportunity to lead worship in select Sunday morning services, concerts, and other special events. Future Kids “Front Line” singers will also be selected from CREW 82.
