Special Needs
At Collierville First Baptist Church, we believe that every person, regardless of disability, exists to glorify God and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The S.H.IN.E. Ministry strives to guide individuals in strengthening their relationship with Christ and others in a safe and unique way.
The S.H.IN.E. Ministry is our Special Needs Ministry. S.H.IN.E. stands for Seeing Him IN Everyone. Jesus went out of His way to seek out those with special needs and we want to do the same here at Collierville First Baptist. Our S.H.IN.E. Ministry expands from babies through adults.
Connect Groups
Sundays at 9:15 AM
Babies through Kindergarten: Children at this age will be grouped with their age-level classes. They will have a special buddy assigned to them, if needed, for more 1:1 attention.
School age: Students 1st grade through high school will have the option to attend with their grade level or they can participate in a small group environment in our newly renovated sensory room. Special buddies are available, if needed, to accompany.
Adults: Our adults are invited to join a Connect Group designed specially for them.
Family Worship
Sundays at 10:45 AM
Babies through Kindergarten: Children at this age will be grouped with their age-level classes in our Preschool Wing. They will have a special buddy assigned to them, if needed, for more 1:1 attention.
School age: Students 1st grade through high school are invited to join the worship with their family. If a small environment is more fitting, they are welcome to stay in the sensory room for a Bible lesson, worship, and various activities.
Adults: Adults are invited to join in the worship service.
Wednesday Nights
Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
Babies through high schoolers will attend their age level activities. They will be paired with a special buddy, if needed, to be with them for the evening!
Deaf Ministry
We have interpreters available on Sunday mornings during our worship hour for those who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Our Deaf/Hard of Hearing friends also have get togethers outside of church hours.
