Pastor Search Team Meeting Update

Our meeting began with a devotion from Barbee Halford in John 15:16:

“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”

This passage reminded us that God has called each member of this team for a specific purpose and a specific work during this season in the life of our church. While the responsibility before us is significant, we are encouraged knowing that when we walk in the Spirit and seek His will, all things are possible through Him.

We spent time together in prayer, asking for God’s wisdom, discernment, and direction for every step of this journey. We are continually reminded that this is not merely a process to be managed but a spiritual work that must be led by the Holy Spirit.

During our meeting, we continued developing our communication plan, reviewed the progress of the Pastor Search Team website, and discussed the candidate submission process. We will provide a brief update during Sunday’s service to keep the congregation informed of our progress.

Thank you for faithfully praying for our team. Please continue to pray for God’s guidance, wisdom, unity, and a spirit of humility as we move forward. We believe this is a spiritual journey requiring spiritual discernment, and your prayers, along with the prayers of our church family, make you an important part of this work. We are grateful for your partnership as we seek God’s direction for the pastor He has already chosen for our church.
