Pastor Search Team Meeting Update

Ross Mead shared our devotion from Acts 16:6, Luke 1:1–4, and Romans 12:2, focusing on praying for and discerning the will of God.

As we continue the search for our next Senior Pastor, we are praying for a clear call from God. A calling such as this is rare and unique, and we believe that as we faithfully pray and seek the Lord, He will guide us.

Romans 12:2 reminds us that we are “transformed by the renewing of our minds” so that we may discern the will of God—what is good, acceptable, and perfect. We have the assurance that God is at work renewing our minds and preparing us to recognize His direction.

Please pray with us that we will:

  • Seek God above our own preferences or expectations.
  • Remain open to His will and His timing.
  • Clearly recognize the man God is calling to serve our church.
  • Trust that as God renews our minds, His will and direction will become clear to us.

Tonight’s Meeting:

Tonight, we reviewed and implemented our process for initial contact with potential candidates, including the steps the team will follow as conversations begin.

We also discussed our church profile data and identified the information that should be shared during those initial conversations to help candidates better understand our church, its ministry, and the opportunity before us.

Our prayer: Lord, keep our hearts and minds open to You. Give us discernment, unity, and a clear understanding of Your call as we faithfully seek Your will.
