Originally from: New Orleans, LA

Education Background: B.A. in Communications from Mississippi College,  Clinton Mississippi  M.A. in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, New Orleans, Louisiana

I started working for CFBC: August 2015

My family: My sweet wife, Sunday and three awesome kids, JM, Sarah Sunday and Josh

My role at CFBC: Active Families Pastor: Serving the student ministry team, partnering with families in ministry and lending a hand wherever it’s needed.

Personal story: Using a bad car wreck to get my attention, the Lord changed my life forever at 19 years old.  Ask me about it.  Some of my favorite Scriptures are:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your steps.” –Proverbs 3:5-6

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of His glory.” –Ephesians 1:13-14

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope that we profess, for He who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.  Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” – Hebrews 10:23-25

Favorite book of the Bible: Mark, Joshua, Daniel, Ephesians, or whichever one I’m reading at the time

Recent books I’ve enjoyed:  Effective Parenting In a Defective World by Chip Ingram, Preparing for Adolescence by James Dobson, The Space Between — A Parent’s Guide to Teenage Development by Walt Meuller, Spiritual Disciplines for the Christian Life by Donald Whitney and The Master Plan of Evangelism by Robert Coleman

Most fulfilling part of my job:  Obviously, the most fulfilling part would be seeing anyone experience genuine salvation.  Ephesians 2:1-5 says, “As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.  All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts.  Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath.  BUT because of His great love, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions  — It is by grace you have been saved.”

Places of service available in my ministry:  Let me know if you think you might be interested in serving in our area.  There is a place for you, for sure.  Let’s talk about it and determine what might be a good fit.  (There is an interest form that you can fill out to get the process started).

Spiritual gifts: Leadership, shepherding

My hobbies:  Hanging with my family.   I love to play all sports.  I also love the outdoors (Hunting, fishing, and just walking the streets with my wife & kids).

The smartest thing I’ve ever done:  Asking my wife to marry me

The best way to pray for me:  Please pray for me to make wise decisions in all areas of life and to lead well (James 1:5 & 1 Corinthians 16:13-14).  Thanks in advance.  I’m honored.
