Resources for your family.
Incorporating the spiritual disciplines are foundational for building faith at home.
Our family resource centers (Home Life and Home Field) are designed to help parents and couples intentionally create an environment for faith conversations and spiritual formation. The objective is to help couples build a life-long thriving marriage, introduce children to Christ, equip parents in discipling their children, and launch teens into the world as committed believers. Through intentionally bite-sized physical and digital material, it provides a biblical perspective on common family seasons and challenges along with recommended “going further” resources (some free, some not). Here are some of the items that are covered:
Intentional Marriage - God intends every marriage to reflect His love and faithfulness. That’s why we equip couples to be intentional about creating a life-long, thriving relationship.
Intentional Parenting - God calls parents and grandparents to inspire and nurture strong faith in the next generation. That’s why we equip moms and dads to be intentional about spiritual formation at home.
Faith-Filled Holidays - This material can serve as the ideal tool for motivating seasonal intentionality on holidays such as Father’s Day, Easter, Christmas and Thanksgiving.
Discipling Tools are resources the church provides to equip parents in teaching children spiritual truths in the various stages of a child’s life in addition to the teaching ministries of the church.
My 1st Book about the Gospel – Children always have questions about what it means to be a Christian. This book is filled with simple answers to deep questions that kids have about the Gospel. This tool will help explain the Christian faith to young children in bite-sized chunks. It will be presented to the parents of four years olds on Bible Fellowship Promotion Sunday.
Parenting with Scripture – God's Word has something to say on every subject, but sometimes in the heat of that "teachable moment," we forget where to find a helpful verse about anger, forgiveness, or humility! Featuring topically arranged Scriptures on 101 topics, this handy guide provides relevant passages plus discussion questions, action recommendations, and helpful teaching tips for parents and older siblings. It will be presented to the parents of first graders on Bible Fellowship Promotion Sunday.
Know the Truth - 52 Questions – A tool to teach the doctrines of the Christian faith in a systematic way using a series of questions and answers. The key is to review the material over and over again. Do so over a period of weeks or months until it is mastered. The ability to quote every answer word for word is not as important as being able demonstrate a clear understanding of each question and answer. It will be presented to parents of third graders on Bible Fellowship Promotion Sunday.
Parenting Classes – Parenting is a tremendous privilege and a fruitful way to invest our lives. The rich blessing of parenting is also balanced by the sense of responsibility and obligation that we have to train our children in the admonition of the Lord. Therefore, we commit to provide parents assistance through Equipping U classes and one day seminars. In the class, we will learn: what the Bible says about parenting and the responsibility that parents have; the importance of depending on God, His Word, and the church body in parenting; and how to provide practical, biblical instruction on how to train our children on a consistent basis.
