I started working for CFBC: Summer 2013

My family: My wife Melinda and our son Ronin

My role at CFBC: I serve as the Young Families Pastor and work with children and their parents. My goal is to see people chase Jesus with their whole heart and know that adventure awaits!

Personal story: I was raised in a broken home that I wanted to escape, with siblings who needed me to be at home. My brother’s brain tumor and autism, and my sister’s heart condition taught me God is working in all things for our good. I met Jesus in the midst of my anger and depression, and I found a loving Father who is greater than my pain. I chose as a young teenager to chase Jesus the rest of my life! Today, I desire to help young people meet Jesus in the midst of their pain as well.

Favorite book of the Bible: It changes all the time depending on my mood, and what God is doing in my life at any given moment.

Recent books I’ve enjoyed: Desiring God by John Piper, Counter Culture by David Platt, Jason Bourne by Robert Ludlum, and the Lord of the Rings Trilogy by J. R. R. Tolkien. I pursue adventure, which means chasing Jesus and creativity!

Most fulfilling part of my job: Watching young people get excited about chasing Jesus! It’s pretty inspiring to see kids jump up and down waiting to be baptized, not gonna lie.

Places of service available in my ministry: We have two big areas we could use help with: 1. Volunteers for Special Needs care      2. Guy volunteers willing to serve

Spiritual gifts: Encouragement, Teaching, and Love

My hobbies: I like being with people, discussing the Bible, and playing games

I hope heaven includes: Exploration and Adventure… Coffee

The smartest thing I’ve ever done: Saying yes to God

The best way to pray for me: That God would eclipse every other desire in my life and speak clearly to me His will for this ministry!
